About
Dr. Chien is an assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiology at UNC-Chapel Hill. Additionally, he is the medical director of the Heart Failure Clinic at UNC-Rex in Raleigh. His clinical specialty includes the care of patients with heart failure, with specialty in advanced heart failure treatments including cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.
His research interest is the study of hemodynamics in patients with left ventricular assist devices. Additionally, he collaborates on research focused on symptom biology in heart failure. Finally, he is an active participant in clinical trials for patients with heart failure.
