Undergraduate: University of California, Berkeley
Medical School: Loma Linda University
Aaron is originally from Northern California where he earned a degree in philosophy from the University of California-Berkeley and worked in civil engineering before moving to Southern California to attend medical school at Loma Linda. He then followed his family east, choosing to train at UNC because it provided a good balance between rigorous training and a familiar atmosphere. Although he has no idea what specialty he will ultimately practice, he believes that he’s well situated for any of them–thanks to supportive peers, colleagues, and faculty who are helping him take each step forward on his journey. Aaron says it’s fun to work in a supportive but challenging environment. It’s also fun to go mountain biking or hiking, explore nearby towns or local restaurants, or catch a music show or gallery opening, which means he’s well situated for living in Chapel Hill.
