Adam has been a Tar Heel his entire life – he was born at UNC while his father was a radiology resident here! At a young age, he moved with his family to Charleston, WV and grew up in the gorgeous West Virginia hills. Adam attended West Virginia University for his undergraduate studies (Animal & Nutritional Sciences). He graduated with highest honors and went on to attend WVU for medical school on an academic scholarship.

While in medical school, he served as the President for his school’s chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He was an active member on his medical school’s student government as Class Treasurer for all four years, and was a highest-quartile graduate. He received the “President’s Young Alumnus Award”, which is annually given to the senior medical student who has demonstrated outstanding alumni characteristics.

In his free time, you can find him at a local eatery, running/hiking, or watching college football and basketball. He and his wife, Susan, are thrilled to be a part of the UNC family!
