Alex was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She attended Notre Dame for her undergraduate studies in Biology and Spanish, and has been a die hard Notre Dame football fan ever since! She returned home for med school at UNC, where she was involved in the medical Spanish language program, the student run free clinic, and the annual service and research trip to Central Mexico. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Society and graduated medical school with the distinction of honors. She is so excited to be staying at UNC for the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program. Alex loves to read (her med school friends started a book club together), explore the running trails in Chapel Hill, and generally make a mess dabbling in new arts and crafts projects.
