About
Alexandra graduated from Dartmouth with a major in Cell Biology and minor in Studio Art. Pursuing a career as a researcher in cell biology, she began work at Harvard to understand how mutations in key proteins contribute to Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia. Missing the connection to patient care, she chose to attend medical school where she became interested in not only clinical medicine but translational research.
Throughout medical school, she conducted research with Dr. Jane Little (who currently directs our Sickle Cell disease program), focusing on pain and red cell adhesion in patients with sickle cell crisis.
Alexandra continues to enjoy painting, piano, and ballet.
