About
After graduating from Boston University, Anya worked in Los Angeles as a tutor and mentor for at-risk high school students in a low-income area as an AmeriCorps member.
As a medical student, she co-founded the first literary magazine at Drexel, publishing reflections on social justice science in medicine. She has continued to focus on working with the underserved and received an award for outstanding community service in recognition of her work with the student clinic.
She is fluent in American Sign Language and Polish, and enjoys reading and writing – especially poetry, opinion pieces, and creative works.
