Dr. Aris’ research interests span the fields of lung transplantation and pulmonary arterial hypertension. He has in the past been involved in translational research but now mostly does clinical research. He also attends in the medical intensive care units, both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultation, and works is an underserved clinic in Sanford NC seeing pulmonary patients. He also has published ~100 scholarly papers, sits on multiple editorial boards for national journals, and provides peer review for 40 different medical journals.
