Academic Interests: Dr. Cotton’s academic interest is the application of epidemiology and clinical trial methods to diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology. His focus is to provide data of immediate clinical use to better distribute limited clinical resources to populations in need, to balance the risks and benefits of treatments, and to provide patients prognostic information that is applicable to them as unique individuals.
