About
Deji has worked as a TV anchor for his college broadcast news program, hosted a weekly radio show, and has delivered his spoken word poetry in performances. He is a writer and poet, and bass vocalist who is part of the medical school a cappella group. In addition, Deji has served on the professionalism committee as a student representative at his medical school, works as a mentor to junior medical students, and holds multiple volunteer and leadership roles including serving as the youth outreach co-chair for the SNMA.
In addition to poetry and music, Deji enjoys running and drawing anime characters. Deji’s significant other, Stephanie, will begin her residency training at Duke in Pediatrics and they are looking forward to moving to North Carolina together.
