Research and Clinical Interests
My research focuses on blood coagulation, specifically, at factors II, V, VII, IX, X, tissue factor, and tissue factor pathway inhibitor. By using molecular biology techniques, we are investigating the interactions between these clotting factors and their cofactors, substrates, inhibitors and cell surface receptors. Through these studies, we hope to understand, in more detail, the mechanisms of how the hemostasis reactions are initiated, maintained and regulated.
