Karishma Habbu is from no particular place (she’s lived in Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, New York City, Atlanta, Las Vegas and other places) but most recently moved from Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and became a die-hard Cavs fan. Before that, she was at Columbia University studying Biology and South Asian studies. She enjoys community work and has a particular interest in public policy surrounding access to care issues. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, nail art, hiking and laughing with her fiancé (Preston Edge) who is an Ob/gyn intern at UNC. Before residency began, she spent time scaling glaciers in Patagonia, Argentina and hiking the Great Wall of China. She is delighted to be a Tar Heel!
