Clinical and Research Interests
Kate Bergamo’s clinical interests are in the treatment and prevention of complications of diabetes. Her focus is on wellness practices and maximizing quality of life for her patients. Prior to her current position, she was in Endocrinology practice in New York. She also has many years of experience in nursing education and hospital administration. In addition to her clinical care of outpatients with diabetes, Ms. Bergamo is an investigator in the clinical trials unit and serves as UNC PI of the CGM Intervention in Teens and Young Adults with T1D (CITY) trial, funded by the Jaeb Center for Health Research.
