Medical School: MCG
Kendall is originally from Atlanta but came to the University of North Carolina for college where she graduated with Distinction in both Biology and English. She then returned to Georgia to begin medical school at the Medical College of Georgia where she has been actively engaged in research and service. She served as the secretary and treasurer for the school of medicine Student Government, represented the school as an ambassador, and has served as a mentor for junior medical as well as pre-medical students. She also founded the Medical Ethics student interest group as well as a student representative for the Ethics Working Group curriculum review committee. She has been involved in research projects that include a melanoma registry, the effects of peer education on Hepatitis C awareness, markers in cutaneous sweat gland tumors, and the value of personal statements to Dermatology programs. In recognition of her outstanding academic performance, she was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. She will be staying at UNC for her Dermatology residency after completion of her preliminary year in medicine. Kendall enjoys travel, party planning, and movies and is happy to be coming back to UNC where she met her fiancée!
