Education and Experience
1979: Graduate of Lenoir Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Kinston, North Carolina; 1979-1983: Emergency nursing at LMH and UNC Hospitals, MICN and ACLS certified (currently expired); 1983-1985:Staff nurse with the American Red Cross Blood Services in both Durham and Wilmington, NC locations; 1985- 1989: Hemodialysis staff nurse and supervisor of the inpatient acute dialysis unit at UNC Hospitals; 1989 to present: Certified Nephrology Nurse via the American Nephrology Nursing Association; 1989-2005: Transplant Nurse Coordinator at UNC Hospitals; 2005- present: Pediatric Nephrology Nurse Care Coordinator
Lynn continues to be active in many local and national professional nursing organizations. She has held various officer positions including past president of the NC Cardinal Chapter of ANNA, State Legislative Liaison for ANNA as well as ANNA Transplant SIG member. Currently she is the immediate past president of the NC Chapter of ITNS (International Transplant Nurses Society).
