Specialty Areas: management of allergies, penicillin allergy evaluation/de-labeling, chronic urticaria and angioedema, allergic rhinitis, chronic and current sinusitis, asthma and chronic cough.

Description of Research: Dr. Kwan’s research interests include penicillin allergy testing to improve health outcomes and costs in a large healthcare system in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  Additionally, Dr. Kwan has interests in how new biologic and small molecule inhibitor medications utilized in treatment of inflammatory and oncologic conditions may have adverse immune effects leading to immune compromise/deficiency, and has been active in bringing this to the attention of allergists in practice.
