Personal Statement

As a gastrointestinal medical oncologist, I specialize in caring for patients with hepatocellular, pancreaticobiliary, appendiceal, colorectal, anal and gastroesophageal cancers. My research interests include conducting studies of novel therapeutic agents for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.  I am also a physician executive with interests in improving patient experience and  safety, and aligning physician expertise and organizational business strategies to drive patient centered care and outcomes. I am passionate about designing quality assessment and improvement initiatives for cancer care redesign, and leveraging information systems and actionable data to improve value based oncology care.  I am an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Physician Leadership.
