Ryan Machiele, DO

Medical School: Campbell University
Undergraduate: Calvin College

After graduating from Calvin College with a degree in English, Ryan worked as a Wilderness EMT and Master Field Guide with the SUWS of the Carolinas to provide therapeutic and clinical support to youth experiencing mental illness, substance abuse, and family trauma. He then worked with the Black Mountain Home for Children in North Carolina as a residential foster parent, managing the responsibilities for up to 10 children at a time. As a medical student, Ryan has worked as a Global Impact fellow with “Unite for Sight” in India and Connecticut. Ryan currently serves as the Class President, and was awarded the “Student Doctor of the Year” based upon his leadership, professionalism and community service. In his spare time, Ryan is a musician and enjoys fly fishing, leathercraft, rock climbing, and photography.
