About
Stephanie graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and then entered the combined MD/PhD program at Boston University.
Stephanie’s PhD work was through the Department of Microbiology and focused on the immune system of Egyptian fruit bats using computational and experimental techniques and how they asymptomatically host viruses that are pathogenic in humans. This experience, thought rewarding, convinced her that she really wanted the patient care experiences that come with being a doctor.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys knitting sweaters (especially with breed-specific wool), gardening, and art museums.
