Steven grew up in Boylston, a small town in Central Massachusetts. He went to Pomona College for undergraduate training and majored in Geology. After a year off working at a non-profit health insurance company for Medicare/Medicaid eligible seniors in Boston, Steven started medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where he got his MD/MPH. In his spare time Steven likes running, canoeing, camping, and playing/watching baseball (Red Sox).
