Torie was raised in Tulsa, OK but with strong Midwest roots moved north to Wisconsin where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Sociology at UW- Madison (Go Badgers!). She then went to Chicago for medical school at Rush Medical College, where she was involved in many health fairs and clinics providing medical care to underserved communities. In true Med-Peds form, Torie’s career interests range widely. She has volunteered many times in Tanzania, and plans to pursue Global Health while in residency and in the future. In her free time, Torie enjoys running, baking, binge-watching Netflix, and any activity that involves being outside!
