Vikram graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biology with Distinction. During his undergraduate years, Vikram also worked as a research assistant with the Duke University Department of Molecular Genetics to understand the roles of homologous recombination proteins in the pathogen of Cryptococcus. Since that time, he has continued to work with multiple research projects, including work that he began as a college student and continued into medical school examining the neurocognitive changes that occur after anesthesia and surgery. With this interest, he founded the Medical Student Research Group to increase exposure and interest of medical students in scientific research. Vikram enjoys fitness, video and board games, and volleyball.
