Janet Rubin, MD, the Sarah Graham Kenan Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the division of endocrinology and metabolism, provides patient education in a new four-part video series produced by Margaret Martin, a physical therapist specializing in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis through exercise, safe movement and fall prevention.
In “Bone Remodelling and Osteoporosis” (March 22, 2021), Dr. Rubin explains bone remodelling, the cycle that maintains the integrity of the skeleton and normal calcium levels in the body. She also discusses Vitamin D and calcium supplements in relation to bone remodelling.
