DESCRIPTION:Dr. Nikolaos Mavrogiorgos divides his time between clinical infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. He sees patients both in the inpatient and outpatient settings and is interested in general infectious diseases including endocarditis\, joint and bone infections\, diabetic foot infections\, skin infections\, and soft tissue infections.  Currently\, he is an Associate Professor and the Medical Director of Carolina Antimicrobial Stewardship General Infectious Diseases here at UNC. \n  \nDr. Nikolaos Mavrogiorgos educational background is as follows: \n\nMedical School: National University of Athens School of Medicine\nResidency: Montefiore Medical Center\, Albert Einstein College of Medicine\nFellowship: Boston University Medical Center
