DESCRIPTION:Jane Little\, MD\, is professor of medicine in the division of hematology and oncology\, and director of the UNC Sickle Cell Disease Program. Dr. Little recently joined the department of medicine after serving as professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine.  Her research interests include red cell adhesion and hypoxia. Dr. Little’s lecture will focus on the state of sickle cell disease today. \n
