Clinic Appointments

UNC Geriatrics typically sees patients who are 70 and older. However, patients under 70 can schedule an appointment if they’re experiencing age-related issues – dementia, falls, incontinence, or other geriatric syndromes.

Referrals from a primary health care provider or a specialist are helpful, but are not required to schedule an appointment. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

We can generally see new patients within one to two weeks. If you need to be seen immediately, we often have same-day availability with different providers or with one of our Geriatric Nurse Practitioners.
