Sophie Austin is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a rich interdisciplinary background spanning nursing, theology, and education. She previously worked with SHAE Medical\/Curana Health, providing in-home primary care to older adults in assisted and independent living communities. Sophie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, building on her BSN from Duke University.<\/p>\n
Prior to her advanced practice role, Sophie spent over six years as a registered nurse in the Medical ICU at UNC Memorial Hospital, where she developed deep expertise in acute and critical care. Her earlier career includes more than a decade of teaching and pastoral leadership, including serving as an adjunct assistant professor at Fuller Theological Seminary and as Associate Pastor of Youth and Mission at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington.<\/p>\n
Sophie holds multiple degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary, including a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Divinity, both with a concentration in Youth, Family, and Culture.
