Dr. Redd is a gastroenterologist dedicated to caring for patients with esophageal diseases. In his clinical practice at the UNC Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing (CEDAS), he sees patients with eosinophilic esophagitis, Barrett\u2019s esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), esophageal strictures, and esophageal motility disorders.<\/p>\n

Dr. Redd is passionate about helping improve outcomes for patients with esophageal disorders. His current research efforts are focused on eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and one of its manifestations, esophageal food impaction.<\/p>\n

As a Core Faculty member within the UNC GI Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship, Dr. Redd serves as the Director of Mentorship<\/span>. In this role, he mentors GI fellows and UNC Internal Medicine residents who are interested in GI.
