Simon earned his MD\/PhD at the Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Immunobiology. His PhD thesis was completed under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Kaech and focused on the epigenetic regulation of CD8+ T cell development. Simon\u2019s clinical and research interest is inflammatory bowel disease and the role of host-microbial interactions in driving and modulating gut inflammation. He is completing his post-doctoral fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. R.
