About

Bejal Kikani, FNP-BC, WHNP-BC is an Advanced Practice Provider with the outpatient Lymphoma and CLL teams at the North Carolina Cancer Hospital. She graduated from the ECU in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She then began her dedicated service at UNC Hospitals as a bedside nurse for 5 years on a neurology, neurosurgery, ENT floor. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing with a dual focus, in both, family and women’s health NP programs in 2012. Her journey ultimately led her to discover her passion for the care of patients with malignant hematological conditions, which began in 2019. Malignant Hematology APPs are an integral component of the healthcare team dedicated to deliver highly specialized and compassionate care to patients by the diagnosis and management of various blood cancers. Malignant Hematology APPs also treat and manage the care of patients undergoing investigational therapy in the form of clinical trials. Malignant Hematology APPs perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and skin biopsies. Given the highly specialized nature of the service, malignant hematology APPs also serve to educate and mentor aspiring APPs and trainees in the world of malignant hematology as well as general medicine and serve as a critical resource to others.
