Stem cell transplantation is a potentially life-saving procedure and has significantly improved in the last few decades. My goal is to help patients and families understand the role of stem cell transplantation in their disease and whether it is the right next step for them.<\/p>\n<p>My research focuses on therapies that help prevent relapse after a patient undergoes a stem cell transplant. Specifically, in collaboration with other researchers at UNC, I am developing a post-transplant mRNA vaccine for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
