LaKeshia Neal, a native North Carolinian, has dedicated more than 20 years of service to UNC Health.<\/p>\n

At UNC Hospitals, she worked as an inpatient nurse in Women\u2019s Services and Surgical Services (PACU). For 13 years, she served in the Care Management Department, 10 of those years as a manager leading a team of nurse care managers and social workers across inpatient and outpatient settings. Most recently, LaKeshia served in UNC Faculty Physicians as a Nurse Coordinator with UNC Maternal Fetal Medicine \u2013 Raleigh, where she helped expand nurse telehealth for diabetes co-management and also staffed in the ambulatory clinic.<\/p>\n

Before transitioning into nursing, LaKeshia earned a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and worked as an Environmental Scientist \/ Site Manager with a private engineering consulting firm. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University. She is also a certified Accredited Case Manager \u2013 Registered Nurse (ACM-RN).<\/p>\n
