l’Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD)/Mère et enfant face aux infections tropicales (MERIT)
Dr. Meshnick has been collaborating with IRD researchers to study the diversity of var2csa, the major ligand associated with placental malaria. IP has provided Dr. Meshnick with samples from their site in Benin. This work is aimed at improving a vaccine to limit the effects of pregnancy malaria.
