Department of Epidemiology
Camille Morgan is an MD/PhD student at the UNC School of Medicine and Gillings School of Global Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology. She is interested in geographic, genomic, and epidemiologic methods for understanding health and disease, particularly infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries. She received a B.S. with highest honors in biostatistics and a minor in mathematics as a Morehead-Cain scholar at UNC, where she worked with the UNC Water Institute and Spatial Health Research Group. After graduation, she worked at the Center for Global Health at the National Cancer Institute and later at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health before returning to UNC to work with Dr. Steve Meshnick and the rest of the IDEEL group.
