Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases

Claudia graduated from Yale University in May 2020 with a degree in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. While there, she worked with the Caccone Lab on projects combining population genetics, ecology, and tropical diseases. Her senior thesis research involved development and validation of a microsatellite primer set for genotyping the human hookworm, Necator americanus. Claudia hopes to pursue a graduate degree in epidemiology, and figure out a career that combines global health, education, and the promotion of positive human-environment interactions.
