I am currently working on validating bioinformatics tools to detect drug resistance haplotypes in parasites that cause malaria. The main goal is to help establish a pipeline for tracking drug resistance that can be used in field samples from Ethiopia and other African countries. My main interest are genomics, population genetics, and computational biology.
