Kano Amagai is an Applied Epidemiology MPH student at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She graduated from Carleton College in 2021 with a B.A. in Biology. Kano is interested in the intersection of social epidemiology and infectious disease epidemiology and applying epidemiological methods to improve disease surveillance. She is currently working under Dr. Jessica Lin, focusing on data management and analysis of her project on asymptomatic malaria transmission.
