Linda James is a Research Program Manager / Director of DRC Research Collaboration and Development in the Institute of Global Health and Infectious Diseases in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

With a family history rooted in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Linda spent six years in Kinshasa, DR Congo, where she implemented and directed multiple infectious disease research projects in malaria, HIV and Hepatitis B at the Université Protestante au Congo. While at IMA World Health in Kinshasa, Linda focused on improving public health interventions through communications initiatives. To enhance her field experience, Linda completed her MSc degree in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Growing up in Southern California, Linda received her B.A. in Foreign Language – French and German from the University of California, Riverside.
