Mahip Aasla is a junior at UNC studying biology and minoring in English and Neuroscience. She has been working under Dr. Jonathan Juliano and with Claudia Gaither on malaria research. She is interested in studying infectious diseases, evolution, and genetics. She plans to pursue a career in surgical medicine and research. When not occupied, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and thrifting.
