H1B visas are not permitted by the Health System.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Trainees funded by NIH Institutional Training Grants must be US citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents; applicants eligible for NIH funds are strongly favored and are encouraged to apply to this program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Application for admission to the UNC Infectious Diseases Fellowship accepts applications on the <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/students-residents.aamc.org\/training-residency-fellowship\/applying-fellowships-eras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ERAS application form.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>ERAS Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Statement of the applicant\u2019s career goals and research interests\n<ul>\n<li>Special attention should be paid to the applicant\u2019s preferred training track with emphasis on research opportunities available at UNC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Three letters of reference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">*We will only review applications once they have all required ERAS components completed*<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>Interview Process<\/h3>\n<p>Personal interviews are an excellent way to assess fit and learn more about UNC ID. While all interviews will be held virtually, we will provide ample opportunity to get to know our program and community using our webpage and <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/uncinfectiousdiseases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ID Instagram Account<\/a>.
