Stephan Moll, MD, professor of medicine in the division of hematology and oncology and member of the UNC Blood Research Center, announces the reintroduction of Clot Connect, a public service clearinghouse for clinically relevant information on thrombosis, thrombophilia, and anticoagulation information for patients and health care professionals.
Established in 2010, the resource was created for individuals with blood clots or clotting disorders and their clinicians, who needed easier access to the latest treatment options and scientific research related to the diagnosis, care, and management of patients with blood clots and clotting disorders.
The newly restructured Clot Connect is a resource designed to serve
- people who have experienced a blood clot,
- people at high risk for developing a blood clot, and
- healthcare professionals who treat patients with or at risk for blood clots.
