Research and Clinical Interests
I am a hematologist who sees pediatric and adult patients with non-malignant blood disorders, primarily sickle cell disease. I also direct the Pediatric Sickle Cell Program. As a clinician for both pediatric and adult patients with sickle cell at UNC, I am actively engaged in clinical and translational research aiming to improve the lives of patients across the lifespan.
