Scott Commins, MD, PhD, was the lead author on a seminal scientific paper first describing the unique meat allergy Alpha Gal. Iweala is a physician-scientist working with Commins to unravel the mysteries of Alpha Gal, using innovative approaches to better understand the allergy, that can hopefully lead to the development of an immunotherapy treatment.
