My clinical expertise is in the treatment of head and neck cancers (HNC) and thyroid cancers. My research focuses on early phase clinical trials and evaluating promising biomarkers.<\/p>\n<p>At UNC, I am a member of our dynamic head and neck cancer research program. I lead multiple clinical trials, many which are evaluating novel combinations of immunotherapy and targeted therapies. To complement this work, I have developed a keen interest in non-invasive biomarkers, specifically circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Supported by an ASCO\/Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award (YIA; 2019) and 2021 NIH Paul Calabresi K12 Career Development Award in Clinical Oncology, I am studying if ctDNA can be an effective tool to monitor for treatment response and disease recurrence.<\/p>\n<p>I greatly enjoy caring for my HNC and thyroid cancer patients. Our multidisciplinary team at UNC is deeply committed to providing the best care and support for our patients.
