We use a combination of mouse genetics, cell biology, and protein biochemistry to understand how macrophages contribute to both pathogen control and tissue damage. We perform translation research using human samples from ICU patients with a focus on ARDS. As a clinician, I attend in the medical ICU and pulmonary fellows&#8217; clinic.
