About
Dr. Rivadeneira is a clinician educator, and enjoys working in the clinical setting with learners of different levels; from third and fourth year medical students to residents and fellows. His style of teaching is based on a learner-centered model of outpatient instruction in which the preceptor is more of a facilitator and guide and the learner is taught to lead and to verbalize their thinking and reasoning and move away from a passive role. He also runs the UNC adult Latino rheumatology clinic where he takes care of Latino individuals with rheumatic diseases and collaborates with clinical research projects in the Latino population.
