Chip Pursell and Joan Maradey travelled to Rome to present their findings at the European Society of Cardiology.
Joan Maraday, MD and Irion W Pursell, Jr., RN presented a poster entitled “Risk Factor Profile for Out of Hospital Sudden Unexpected Deaths Varies By Age” at the annual European Society of Cardiology (ESC) meeting in Rome, Italy on 29 August 2016. The ESC is one the world’s largest and most influential scientific organizations in the fight against cardiovascular disease. A record 33,000 dedicated healthcare professionals, representing 120 countries, attended this year’s meeting.
In addition to attending the scientific sessions, the SUDDEN team met with Professor Jean Ferrieres, from the Department of Cardiology, Toulouse (France) University School of Medicine and Dr Tomasz Tokarek from the Krakow Cardiovascular Research Institute (KCRI) to discuss collaboration opportunities for the SUDDEN project in Europe.
