David Wohl, MD, gave WRAL an update on COVID-19, discussing current hospitalizations and testing capacity, which still lags behind.
“What if I told you that your smoke detector goes off three hours after it detects smoke?” Wohl said. “It doesn’t do what it needs to do. Anything we get is lagging behind a week. That’s just not realistic for anyone to act on.”
Wohl was also asked about the safety of reopening schools.
“The right questions are being asked and people are really being thoughtful. Everyone seems to be making a good faith effort. There is a way to do it smartly and reduce risks.”
