Adimora, MD, MPH<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/directory\/ada-adimora\/\">Ada Adimora<\/a>, MD, MPH, Sarah Graham Kenan Distinguished Professor of Medicine and professor of epidemiology with the UNC Gillings School of Public Health has been elected to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nam.edu\/national-academy-of-medicine-elects-100-new-members\/\">National Academy of Medicine<\/a> (NAM).\u00a0 Election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese newly elected members represent the most exceptional scholars and leaders whose remarkable work has advanced science, medicine, and health in the U.S. and around the globe,\u201d said National Academy of Medicine President Victor J. Dzau in a <a href=\"https:\/\/nam.edu\/national-academy-of-medicine-elects-100-new-members\/\">web announcement, recognizing the election of 100 new members<\/a>. \u201cTheir expertise will be vital to addressing today\u2019s most pressing health and scientific challenges and informing the future of health and medicine for the benefit of us all.
