The R01HL151984 grant &#8220;An integrated computational and experimental approach to understanding the hemostatic response during treatment of bleeding&#8221; was awarded four years of funding and will enable researchers to create better mathematical models that can guide development of novel antithrombotics or new therapeutics for bleeding.<\/p>\n<p>Collaborators include <strong>Karin Leiderman<\/strong> (lead PI) of the Colorado School of Mines and <strong>Aaron Fogelson<\/strong> of the University of Utah, experts in mathematical modelling, as well as experimentalist <strong>Keith Neeves<\/strong> of the University of Colorado in Denver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dougald Monroe, PhD, professor medicine in the division of hematology and member of the UNC Blood Research Center, has received an NIH NHLBI award.
