Many outstanding residents and faculty were recognized for their clinical and academic excellence, honoring the legacies of those who preceded them. Dr. Bondurant served as Dean of the School of Medicine from 1979-1994.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will Pegna<\/li>\n<li>Amanda Clark<\/li>\n<li>Anna Griffith<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\" \"><strong><span class=\"blue\">Excellence in Quality Improvement Award <\/span><\/strong>&#8211; Presented by Cole Sims<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christine Gladman<\/li>\n<li>Lucy Witt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span class=\"blue\">Ney Award<\/span> <\/b>&#8211; Presented by Lee Berkowitz<\/p>\n<p><i style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Presented to a Senior Resident whose qualities exemplify the standards set by Dr. Robert L. Ney as a person and physician. Dr. Ney served as Department Chair from 1972-1980. The award recognizes a commitment to academic excellence, a compassionate approach to patients, and, most of all, and an inspirational effect on others.<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joan Maradey<\/li>\n<li>David Steele<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\" \"><b><span class=\"blue\">Ontjes Award<\/span><\/b>&#8211; Presented by Deb Bynum<br \/>\n<i style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\" \"><i style=\"line-height: 1.43em;\">Presented to an Intern whose performance best exemplifies the standards set by Dr. David A.
